Detailed explanation of professional vocabulary for light source controllers in Chinese and English in machine vision product knowledge
Add Time:2024-05-16
As one of the important components in machine vision systems, light sources play a crucial role in the accuracy and stability of system detection results. The use of a light source requires a light source controller. The main purpose of a machine vision light source controller is to power the light source, control the brightness of the light source, and control the lighting status(on/off)of the light source. It can also achieve flicker of the light source by sending signals to the controller, greatly extending the lifespan of the light source.
Today's special class on machine vision product related parameters in both Chinese and English will bring you a detailed explanation of professional vocabulary for light source controllers in both Chinese and English.
1.Input Voltage:The input voltage value that supplies power to the controller, usually 100V~240VAC,and is a universal power supply worldwide.
  2.Output Voltage:The voltage output by the controller,generally used for light sources,including 5V,12V,and 24V DC.
3.Output Current:The current output by the controller.
4.Output Power:The maximum power that the controller can provide to light sources, etc. Some high-power light sources require the use of high-power light source controllers in order to function properly.
5.AC:AC power supply for mains power.
6.DC:Generally,the output of light sources and controllers is DC.
7.Knob:The control knob that calls the output voltage value.
8.Input Port:The input port for the product, such as power input, trigger input, communication, and other ports.
9.Output Port:The output port of the product, such as the power output terminal, which triggers the output terminal.
10.IO port:an interface used for input and output, usually referring only to the input and output ports, and not to data and communication ports.
11.Channel:refers to the number of input or output ports, such as a 2-channel analog controller, which can simultaneously output 2 power supplies for two light source products to light up simultaneously.
12.Trigger:Triggering a change through weaker means of pushing. For example, when a camera is triggered and there is no trigger signal,no photo is taken. However, when a trigger signal(such as a 5V trigger signal with a 5ms pulse width)is given, the camera will take a photo once.A more direct understanding of triggering is that there is a switch that remains closed or open, waiting for a signal(command, condition)to open or close. When this signal(command, condition)arrives, the switch transitions to another state.
13.PC Development for Upper Computer:It generally refers to a process in which a computer,or possibly an embedded device, controls a controller. It usually requires communication ports and corresponding protocols to form the most basic content of upper computer development. The digital controller and strobe controller in the controller are both supported for upper computer development. The concept commonly involved in upper computer development is software control of the brightness of the light source, and the corresponding brightness. The software can control the brightness time, frequency, and so on.
14.Analog Power Supply:The power supply control terminal of the light source is an analog signal, which is the most common controller that uses manual adjustment of the brightness of the light source.
15.Digital controller:Digital Power Supply:The control quantity of the light source power supply controller is digital signal, which can generally be controlled by the panel or controlled by the upper computer using serial port, parallel port, and other ports.
16.Strobe Power Supply:A strobe power supply controller, which supplies voltage that only flashes instantly, and its flashing process voltage is usually much higher than the rated voltage of LED particles, allowing the light source to receive relatively bright illumination at the moment of flashing. Its function is similar to the flash in civilian cameras.
17.Constant Voltage:The output voltage remains constant, with only the current changing.
18.Constant current:The output current is constant and only the voltage changes.
At present, the commonly used machine vision light source controllers on the market mainly include analog controllers and digital controllers.Digital control is particularly suitable for supplying power to light sources with high brightness control requirements and is the preferred light source power supply for advanced machine vision system integration.
